The Key of Grace

The key theme for October’s Worship War Win is GRACE, anchored in Acts 4:33:

“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”

We are wearing red not just as a color, but as a reminder of the grace God has made available to us.

In my book, From Bondage to Freedom, I share how God gave me the Key of Grace.

I discovered that I had spent years trying to earn what God was asking me to receive.

I thought I had to pray harder, fast longer, do more, and become better in order to experience the freedom I was seeking.

But God began to show me that grace is not something I earn. It is something I receive.

As I received the revelation of grace, God began pulling down strongholds of religious striving, pride, self-reliance, and fear.

I learned to rest in His love.

I learned to receive help.

I learned to trust God in my weakness.

And looking back, I can see how the revelation of grace was connected to my freedom from infirmity and other patterns that had kept me striving instead of resting in God.

The Key of Grace taught me to stop trying to be my own savior and to trust the One who had already saved me.

Grace doesn’t excuse us. Grace transforms us.
